offering: Qualification, Verification and Documentation
Atena supports its customers in the qualification and documentation process
for aircraft, subsystems and equipment.
As regards qualification and certification, Atena prepares qualification
documents for aircraft and aircraft equipment. The portfolio includes
specifications for aircraft equipment as part of system definition, preparation
of qualification plans for defining the scope of verification (verification
according to aviation law and performance-specific verification) and qualification
programs for defining the proofs of compliance to be provided by tests.
Our activities in this field are complemented by processing documents
to finish the certification process. This includes for instance the Declaration
of Design and Performance at the stand–alone level.
For safety and reliability verification, Atena provides safety analyses
for aircraft equipment and subsystems. This includes reliability predictions
based on military and civil reliability models such as MIL-STD-217 or
TELCORDIA. On behalf of or in direct collaboration with our customer,
Atena creates fault analyses according to the FMEA, FMECA and fault tree
analysis (FTA) methods. Depending on the customer requirements, this can
also be done by using special software such as RELEX, ISOGRAPH or RODON.
Apart from analyzing and describing (technical) systems, Atena conducts
process analyses and prepares process descriptions as part of quality
and configuration management. In international projects, Atena matches
process definitions and manufacturing standards based on the complex normative
structures of the project partners and supports the customer in performing
the necessary adjustments.
